Waxing FAQ.
How long should my hair be before I come in?
About a quarter inch — roughly two weeks of growth after shaving, or three to four weeks after your last wax. Too short and the wax can't grip; we'll let you know if it needs more time.
Does it hurt?
It's a quick, sharp sensation, not a lingering one, and it fades fast — most first-timers are surprised how manageable it is. Regular waxing also makes each visit easier as hair grows in finer.
How should I prep before my appointment?
Exfoliate the day before, skip lotion or oil the day of, and avoid caffeine or alcohol right before your visit if you're sensitive to discomfort — both can heighten sensitivity.
What should I avoid after waxing?
Hold off on hot showers, saunas, swimming, and tight clothing for about 24 hours, and skip sun exposure on freshly waxed skin for a day or two.
How often should I book?
Every 4 to 6 weeks keeps hair finest and appointments quickest — the more consistent you are, the less there is to wax each time.
